PBS Volunteers Needed!!
The Paris Blues Society is an all-volunteer organization. We need you to help grow the vibrant Blues scene here in Paris, Texas. By lending a hand at the PBS functions, you can help make more of an impact.
Blues Jams - The Paris Blues Society holds its monthly Blues Jams from October - March every third Tuesday at The Depot in Paris Texas from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. From April - September every third Thursday at Buffalo Joe's Pub in Paris Texas from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. For more information on the Blues Jams please visit our Blues Jam page.
Brown Bag Blues Jam - The Paris Blues Society along with the Downtown Association hosts a Brown Bag Blues Jam. The Jam is on the south side of the square from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Festival of Pumpkins - Each year The Paris Blues Society has a booth at The Festival of Pumpkins. We sell Memberships and Merchandise, and we raise awareness of Blues. If you are interested in volunteering at The Festival of Pumpkins please contact Lisa Walker at lwalker@parisbluessociety.com
Parade Committee - The Paris Blues Society is now forming a Parade Committee. If you would be interested in volunteering to decorate, or be on the float please contact Karen Boaz at karen@parisbluessociety.com
Nursing Home Blues - The Paris Blues Society has started playing at local nursing homes. If you are interested in helping this committee please contact Fred Erben at ferben@parisbluessociety.com
Lamar County Relay For Life - The Paris Blues Society will have a team in the Lamar County Relay for Life. If you would like to be on the team or donate to the Paris Blues Society Relay for Life Team please contact Jesse Sanders at jsanders@parisbluessociety.com
Christmas Basket Program - Our christmas Basket Program delivers gift baskets for the elderly in Lamar County. You can help this program in several ways by donating items to be delivered, helping box up the items for delivery, or by delivering the items. Blues in the Schools - The PBS BITS program utilizes a classroom curriculum that affects many students and disciplines. A comprehensive curriculum of one week to a month in length can address the main educational issues of the next century, inter discipline and diversity. If you are an educator and would like the Paris Blues Society to bring its BITS program to your school please contact Jesse Sanders at jsanders@parisbluessociety.com
