| The Paris Blues Society kicked off
its Blues In The Schools program on Friday, February 29, 2008
with presentations to three separate classes at Crockett Middle
School in Paris, Texas.

On
hand for this initial program were Bobbie "Mercy" Oliver, Eva
"Momma" Oliver and Roosevelt Twitty. The programs were a
huge success as Bobbie kept the children's attention with his
great personality and wonderful songs. "Momma" added
greatly to the presentation as she talked to the children about
the history of the blues. We will be posting pics of this
event on this page soon.
If you are an educator and would

The Paris Blues Society is also
seeking funding for this program from individuals and area
