Paris Blues Society
Christmas Basket Program

One of the ways that the Paris Blues Society gives back to the community is with our Christmas basket program in December. With this program we package boxes of canned goods, toiletries, and other necessities and deliver them to needy elderly and families in our area.

December of 2007 was our first year to start this program and it was a very worthy and rewarding undertaking. To see the recipients' eyes light up when they see the boxes was truly a joy.  For a lot of these people this was as close to Christmas as some of them were going to get.

We will once again be conducting this program in December. Between now and then we need donations of unused canned goods, toiletries, or anything that you would like to donate.  You may drop off your donations at any of our blues jams or events.  Or you can arrange a drop off by contacting Lisa Walker at lwalker@parisbluessociety.com.

The next chance to donate items will be the next Blue Tuesday Blues Jam at the Depot on Tuesday, November 17.  Just drop the items off at the PBS t-shirt table.
